I'm not fluent in tech, but am very curious and love building things. Here is a list of design and no code resources that I have used or discovered over the years that have proven very useful, and I hope they help you too.

Some must-haves I don't know how to categorise

I use Zapier for integration between apps for automated flows. I'm using a zap now to trigger Gmail sending a PDF to a new subscriber Tally response.

I use Hubspot's free email signature generator that allows you to remove the "Created with Hubspot" badge.

Alternatives to Canva

Mojo for creating animated stories in Instagram

Over by GoDaddy; they have a monthly plan for US9.99 a month or a free plan with limited assets.

Stock images and videos

I've used Mixkit for 15 seconds background videos on Instagram stories

I pretty much get all my stock images from Pexels now

Unsplash is such a great site and probably started the quality free images boom that saved content creators all over the world (myself included!). Read their viral success story here.

I've used Envato Elements for a couple of years, and it's a great resource site for wireframes, mobile app mockups, music clips; even in these couple of years, I've noticed the quality of work is exponentially better. It's pricey though: US33/month paid monthly or US16.5/month paid annually.

I've never trawled Creative Market too much, although I know designers swear by it! If you sign up for an account, they regularly include freebies in their newsletter.
